We will always be available to you for edits, but it is much more cost effective for you to get some basic training from us so that you can update and change your own website for free.You don’t need to have any special skills prior to receiving training. As a matter of fact, if you were able to navigate to this page, then you will be able to learn quickly how to edit your own website. Most of our clients are able to make simple edits and updates to their websites after a one hour training session with one of our expert trainers.
The best part about the training that we offer is that it’s included with the price that you pay to have your website developed! A one hour training session is included with all of our web development packages.
Q. How long will it take from the time that I sign the contract until my website is launched?
A. From the time that you sign on with Focus Web Technologies to the day that your website is completed or launched onto the World Wide Web, it is usually 8 weeks. During the course of developing a website there will often be items that we need to get from our clients. For example, if a client already has a company logo, we’ll need to get that from them so that we can be sure that their website is consistent with their other marketing materials. As long as these required items are supplied to us within a reasonable amount of time, we can launch within the 8 week window.Unconventional or unusually complex websites can take longer – up to 12 weeks, but this is less common.
Q. What if I don’t know what I want, can you recommend colors, images, and layouts to me?
A. We have very creative graphic designers who can develop concepts that reflect your goals and objectives. We will utilize the creative elements of your company logo, website samples you like, and any other input to help determine the best designs for you.
All of our clients have the option of having our designers develop a concept for your website. An initial concept is included in the price of all of our web development packages. Additional concepts or changes will be billed at our normal hourly rate.

Q. What is a domain name?
A. A domain name is the name that identifies a website. For example our domain name is www.focuswebtech.com. To appear on the World Wide Web, a domain name needs to be purchased, registered, and then the final website that corresponds to the domain name will need to be listed with the search engines. When we develop a website for you, we will work with you to decide on the best domain name for your business.
Q. Do you offer web hosting?
A. Not only do we offer web hosting, but we encourage all of our clients to host with us. Web software can get viruses and require updates just like any other software you use on your computer. To protect our clients from loss, every website we host will receive regular updates to keep it secure from web predators. We will also install the latest software updates so that users can navigate your website with ease.
Q. Do I have to pay more for special features like flash, animation, a blog space, an online checkout for customers?
A. There are many web features that can easily be included in the package price and others that usually require an additional fee.
